Dr Kayode Fayemi, the Governor of Ekiti State has been suspended by the All Progressive Part, the APC, for interparty activities. He has been accused by the party for engaging suspiciously with governors of Oyo and Edo States who governors are from the Peoples Democratic Party.
A statement made available to The Journal by the party stated that Governor Fayemi was suspended due to his numerous anti-party activities especially in his roles in the defeat of the party in the recently concluded governorship election in Edo State. The party stated that his activities were contrary to the provisions of Article 21 (A) of the party Constitution.
