The Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), an upstream subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), has revealed that an explosion took place at a production facility in Oil Mining Lease (OML) 40.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was gathered that the explosion involving NNPC partners Elcrest Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited took place as the company was working on production evacuation at the Gbetiokun Early Production facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Kennie Obateru, the corporation\u2019s Group General Manager, disclosed in a statement that there were no casualties and no one sustained injuries. There was also no significant spill in the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
