A devastating fire incident has ravaged the Kasuwar Kara Sokoto Market, leaving a trail of destruction and grief in its wake. The Sokoto State Government has described the incident as “heartbreaking” and “unimaginably painful,” with Commissioner of Home Affairs, Hon. Isah Muhammad, expressing his deepest condolences to the affected traders and their families.
The fire, which is the second to hit the market in two weeks, has destroyed goods worth millions of naira, with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar estimating the losses to be immense. The incident has also sparked widespread concern, with many calling for a thorough investigation into the cause of the fire.
In response to the disaster, the Sokoto State Government has pledged to investigate the incident and provide support to the victims. A task force has also been set up to prevent similar incidents in the future.
As the people of Sokoto State come to terms with the devastating loss, Commissioner Muhammad has extended his prayers and sympathies to the affected traders, praying that Allah will replace what they have lost with something better.
