Former manager of Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, Kaka Igbokwe, has confirmed that the singer was briefly arrested at London’s Gatwick Airport following a disagreement with his pregnant wife, Natasha Osawaru.
Igbokwe made the disclosure on Monday, December 1, 2025, during an Instagram Live session with media personality Daddy Freeze.
“Everything you heard about the couple’s face-off was true,” Igbokwe said during the broadcast.
According to him, the incident occurred on October 2, 2025, when 2Baba and his wife arrived in London for a scheduled concert tour. He said fans reportedly mobbed the singer at the airport and led him into a nearby shop, leaving Natasha behind.
Igbokwe, who said he was on the same flight and part of the London team, explained that when 2Baba realised his wife had been left unattended, he rushed back to meet her. However, Natasha was already upset and began scolding him, leading to a heated exchange that attracted the attention of airport security.
Security officials subsequently intervened, handcuffed the singer and escorted him away.
A video of the incident resurfaced on December 1, 2025, on the Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) accounts of blogger Tosin Silverdam. The clip shows police officers speaking with 2Baba outside a store before leading him away. The blogger captioned the footage: “Video of Tuface Idibia Being Arrested by the Police in the UK After an Alleged Altercation with His Wife Natasha… the video is finally out.”
The incident reportedly caused 2Baba to miss his scheduled concert on October 2, 2025. At the time, the singer released a video denying he was arrested, stating that he missed the performance due to a medical emergency. Many fans dismissed the arrest reports as rumours, though the story continued to circulate on gossip platforms.
Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, is currently expecting the couple’s first child together.
While 2Baba previously denied any physical altercation, Igbokwe’s confirmation has reignited debate on social media, with renewed scrutiny of the resurfaced footage.
As of press time, neither 2Baba nor Natasha Osawaru has issued a fresh statement in response to the latest disclosure.
