IWG Expands Nigeria Footprint With Three New Flexible Workspaces

International Workplace Group (IWG), the world’s largest platform for flexible and hybrid work solutions, is deepening its investment in Nigeria with the launch of three new state-of-the-art workspaces in Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano.

The new centres, scheduled to open between February and April 2026, underscore IWG’s confidence in Nigeria’s growing demand for flexible workspaces as businesses increasingly adopt hybrid working models to cut costs and improve productivity.

According to the company, the expansion follows its strongest financial performance on record, with IWG posting its highest-ever revenue, cash flow and earnings growth, alongside rapid global network expansion. IWG currently operates more than one million rooms across 121 countries.

In Nigeria, the new locations include Regus at Logitech Integrated Ltd in Jabi, Abuja (908 square metres, opening February 1, 2026); Regus at Lubrik Construction Company Limited, PH Tower, Port Harcourt (1,394 square metres, opening February 28, 2026); and an HQ-branded centre at Alternative Bank Limited on Zoo Road, Kano (390 square metres, opening April 1, 2026).

IWG said the partnerships allow building owners to maximise returns on their real estate assets by tapping into the fast-growing flexible workspace market. Research consistently shows that hybrid working improves work-life balance for employees while boosting productivity and efficiency for employers.

Mark Dixon, Founder and CEO of IWG Plc, described Nigeria as a strategic growth market, noting that the new facilities strengthen the group’s operational base in key commercial cities. He added that flexible and platform-based working models are helping companies scale efficiently while providing access to IWG’s global workspace network.

With analysts predicting that flexible workspaces could account for up to 30 per cent of commercial real estate by 2030, IWG’s latest expansion positions Nigeria to benefit from this global shift in the future of work.
