Influencer Peller has publicly apologized after being arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for dangerous driving and an alleged suicide attempt linked to emotional distress.
In a social media video, the TikTok personality expressed remorse for his actions. “I am sorry, Nigerians. Please, I’m sorry. I will never do that again. For now, I am on medication. Once I am done, I will be back online,” he stated.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday, December 14, 2025, reportedly followed Peller’s recent breakup with his girlfriend, Jarvis. She had earlier cited his struggles with emotional regulation as a reason for ending their relationship.
Police authorities confirmed that Peller was taken into custody after driving recklessly while live-streaming on the Lekki–Epe Expressway, causing a serious accident. Authorities described his actions as a deliberate threat to public safety and a potential act of self-harm.
The Lagos State Police Command has transferred the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation. Officials confirmed that Peller will be charged in court upon completion of the inquiry.
Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, cautioned social media influencers against promoting or engaging in reckless behavior online, warning that such acts would be met with legal consequences.
