Dr. Abdulsalam Eremwan Ogbemudia

Abdulsalam Eremwan Ogbemudia is a professional who is driven by the desire to serve, and has continuously shown strong commitment to career advancement and the growth and development of the society at large. He has exhibited these qualities in several topflight multinational organisations where he has worked. A renowned expert in general management, with critical experience in the coordination of business operations, Abdulsalam Ogbemudia is currently the CEO of Niyya Foods and Drinks Company Limited.

As a graduate of Industrial Technical Education, with Second Class Upper Division from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, he began his career as an Industrial Officer at Bendel Wood Industry Limited in 1985 and thereafter proceeded to A&S Nigeria Limited, Benin City, where he worked as Operations Manager. Within the first three weeks of his formal engagement, he brought life to the long docile operations of the company.

Prior to joining Niyya Foods and Drinks Company Limited, he had broadened his professional and business experience when he served as Group Chief Operating Officer (GCOO) with Trends Limited, and restructured the organisation, which was a single company, into a diversified business group, with several strategic business units and subsidiary companies.

As Chief Operating Officer (COO) with Gormley Foods Limited, he was able to successfully restructure the company’s organogram, thus enabling an overwhelming effective performance. He was the first African COO of the company in Nigeria, taking over from a British expatriate.
