Patience Jonathan Bags Ph.D, Urges Nigerians to Embrace Lifelong Learning

Former First Lady, Patience Jonathan, has earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Psychology, Guidance, and Counselling from Ignatius Ajuru University of Education. She used the occasion to inspire Nigerian women and youths to embrace lifelong learning, emphasizing that age should never be a barrier to academic pursuit.

Jonathan highlighted the transformative power of education, saying, “I feel that no age is too late to achieve your academic dreams, whether you are young or old. If I can do it, you can also do it.” She encouraged Nigerian women and youths to aspire to become the best versions of themselves through quality education.

Jonathan dedicated her academic achievement to Nigerian women, reaffirming her commitment to championing their rights and welfare. She pledged to intensify her efforts in advocating for the upliftment of vulnerable groups, especially women, children, and youths.

Reflecting on her journey, Jonathan credited divine grace and the support of her family for her success. She expressed gratitude to her husband, former President Goodluck Jonathan, her children, and friends for their encouragement and support.
