On September 16, 2025, the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) announced a significant partnership with U.S.-based research group MOC-LLC to enhance innovation in Nigerian technical education. This collaboration aims to advance technical education through research-driven initiatives and capacity building.

Speaking during an accreditation visit to Harvarde College of Science, Business and Management Studies in Abeokuta, NBTE Director of Polytechnic and Allied Programmes, Dr. Fatimah Kabir Umar, said the agency would continue to root out “mushroom entities” that undermine government standards.

The collaboration with MOC-LLC is aimed at enhancing technical education through research-driven initiatives and capacity building, officials said.

This move forms part of the NBTE’s ongoing efforts to uphold the quality and integrity of technical education across the country.
