The Nigerian Army says it killed eight terrorists, arrested 51 suspects and rescued 27 victims during coordinated nationwide operations conducted between November 29 and December 1, 2025.
In a statement posted on its official X handle on Tuesday, the Army disclosed that in Borno State, troops of the 151, 152 and 192 Task Force Battalions eliminated four ISWAP/JAS terrorists. The troops also recovered rifles, ammunition, a Baofeng radio and other military equipment, while successfully preventing infiltration attempts around Chibok.
The statement further revealed that in Plateau, Taraba, Benue, Kogi and Kaduna States, troops under Operation Whirl Stroke and Operation Enduring Peace rescued 20 victims, including women and children, and arrested suspected kidnappers, human traffickers, extremists, illegal miners, cultists and a gunrunner.
“In Taraba State, four violent extremists were killed, while weapons, ammunition and motorcycles were recovered. In Delta State, two cultists were arrested and a locally made pistol and mobile phones were seized. Security forces also recovered 76 rustled cattle in Plateau State,” the Army said.
In the South-South region, an illegal oil refining site was dismantled, while 25 drug suspects were arrested during joint operations with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
The Army also disclosed that in Kaduna State, troops intercepted vehicles conveying explosives, detonators and fuses, prompting further investigations.
“Notorious gunrunner Shuaibu Isah, also known as Alhaji, was arrested while attempting to procure 1,000 rounds of ammunition from accomplices who are currently under pursuit,” the statement added.
The Nigerian Army reaffirmed its commitment to protecting citizens and ensuring that terrorists, criminals and their collaborators have no safe haven across the country.
