President Muhammadu Buhari has deployed security agencies to Zamfara following the recent killing of 22 people in the State. This was a response to the call for reinforcement by Hon. Bello Matawalle, the Governor of the state.
Hon Zailani Bappa, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Public Enlightenment made a press release available to the press. The
Press Release expressed concern on the killing of 22 villagers and the injury mete on many who escaped the forests.
During a recent Northern Governors Forum Meeting set to discuss the #ENDSARS Protest, the Governor noted that the state has become so volatile
that it needed to see the president so that he could help deploy security operatives to Zamfara.

‘I came to Abuja to formally inform the President of the escalating situation of terrorism in the state. After the disbandment of SARS the gory episodes have continued unabated,’ the governor lamented.
‘Therefore I am appealing to Mr. President to as a matter of urgency help the people of Zamfara state to overcome this teething problem.’
‘I also made the President to understand about the position of illegal mining in the State,’ the Governor said.
