The Journal Nigeria June 20, 2025

The Adamawa State Government has directed recruitment of National Certificate in Education (NCE) holders as part of its ongoing civil service employment initiative.

Alhaji Abubakar Umar Maiha, Permanent Secretary of the State Civil Service Commission, announced the governor’s directive on Friday, reassuring NCE applicants of their inclusion in the process.

“Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has mandated the creation of a specialized recruitment window for NCE graduates, specifically targeting teaching positions within the State Post Primary Schools Management Board,” Maiha stated. “This ensures qualified education certificate holders won’t be excluded from employment opportunities.”

The Commission acknowledged applicants’ patience and reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a fair, transparent hiring process aligned with the administration’s equitable employment objectives.

In related developments, screening committees have advanced 52,003 candidates to the next recruitment phase from the initial pool of 96,102 applicants.

The special consideration for NCE holders reflects the state’s focus on strengthening its educational workforce while providing employment opportunities across various qualification levels.
