The Oyo State Chairman of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Apostle Dare Ojo, has firmly stated that the party will not be joining any political coalition ahead of future elections.
Speaking during an exclusive interview with The Journal Nigeria in Ibadan, Apostle Ojo said that while forming alliances may not be entirely wrong, the motives behind the recent wave of coalitions across the country are questionable.
“There is nothing wrong in coming together for the sake of good leadership,” he said. “But as far as ADP in Oyo State is concerned, we are not joining any coalition.”
Apostle Ojo stressed that ADP is guided by a clear ideology focused on shaping a better Nigeria and is not ready to compromise its values for political convenience.
“ADP has a vision to help reshape Nigeria through credible leadership and sound policies,” he said.

He criticized the motivations of some political actors pushing for coalition arrangements, claiming that many of them have been part of the system for years without delivering real change.
“Most of the people forming these coalitions have been in power — some as senators for 20 years, some as governors, others as ministers. They have worked closely with President Bola Tinubu for the past two years and yet, they now claim to offer solutions they couldn’t provide before,” he said.
Ojo called on Nigerians to be vigilant and not be misled by political rhetoric. He urged citizens to get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and vote for leaders with integrity and a genuine desire for progress.
“Instead of jumping on every coalition train, Nigerians should go and collect their PVCs and vote for leaders they believe can truly bring about change,” he added.
