The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed its National Executive Committee meeting for July 24 in Abuja.
This was announced by the APC Deputy National Secretary, Festus Fuanter, following the National Working Committee (NEC) meeting held on Monday in Abuja.
The NEC meeting is expected to discuss and decide on a date for the elective national convention, where a new national chairman and other party leaders will be elected.
Recall that the party’s national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, recently resigned with immediate effect, paving the way for Ali Dalori, APC Deputy Chairman (North) to assume the position in acting capacity.
There have been agitations from the North Central caucus of the party for the national chairman seat to return to the zone after the resignation of Abdulahi Adamu who is from the zone in 2023, and was succeeded by Ganduje from the Northwest zone through a NEC appointment.
