The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a change in the venue and time for its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 24, 2025.
Initially planned for the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, the meeting will now be held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa at 2 p.m. This adjustment was disclosed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, in a statement on Wednesday.
“The change of venue from the party’s National Secretariat – 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja, to the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, is due to logistical reasons,” Morka stated.
The upcoming NEC session is particularly crucial, as the party is expected to endorse a successor to former national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, who resigned in June citing health concerns.
The resignation has created a leadership vacuum, with acting chairman Ali Bukar Dalori likely to continue in his position until a formal elective convention is organized.
Additionally, the NEC will deliberate on reports from the Constitution Review Committee and review the party’s e‑registration initiatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.
