Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has announced a significant milestone in child welfare, rehabilitation of one million street children through state intervention programs. The governor revealed this achievement during a News Central Town Hall meeting in Maiduguri, brought together community leaders, security officials, and affected residents to address security challenges and development issues.
“Through our comprehensive education and social welfare programs, we’ve removed no fewer than one million children from the streets,” Governor Zulum stated. “These figures are verifiable and both the World Bank and United Nations can attest to our progress.”
The Town Hall meeting served as a crucial platform for open dialogue, allowing citizens to voice their concerns about the state’s security situation and share personal experiences since the insurgency began.
