Nigeria’s Super Falcons have stormed into the semi-finals of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) with a commanding 4-0 dismantling of Zambia in Casablanca.
The floodgates opened early as Osinachi Ohale tapped in just two minutes into the game. Esther Okoronkwo doubled the lead in the 33rd minute, before Chinwendu Ihezuo struck just before halftime (45′), and then sealed the rout shortly after the break. Nigeria went on to score the fifth through Folasade Ijamilusi at the 90+1st minute.
With this emphatic win, the Super Falcons continue their dominant run—extending their clean-sheet streak—and set up an exciting semi-final clash as they chase a record-breaking 10th continental title.
