American R&B superstar Chris Brown today pleaded not guilty in a UK court to a charge of attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent, stemming from an alleged nightclub incident in London in 2023.

The 36-year-old singer, dressed in a dark suit and tie and wearing glasses, appeared at Southwark Crown Court in London. As the charge was read to him, Brown, standing in the dock, clearly stated his plea, replying, “Not guilty, ma’am.”

The charge relates to an alleged brawl at a London nightclub in 2023, the details of which have not been fully disclosed by the court at this time. Brown’s appearance in court marks a significant development in the ongoing legal proceedings across the Atlantic.

Known for his chart-topping hits and dynamic performances, Brown has faced legal challenges in the past. His current plea of not guilty indicates a strong denial of the accusations and sets the stage for a potential trial.

Further details regarding the case, including potential trial dates and the specifics of the alleged incident, are expected to emerge as the legal process continues.
