COAS Charges Troops to Sustain Efforts Against Insecurity

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has directed troops to sustain their efforts in addressing the nation’s security challenges and make meaningful progress in ensuring peace and stability. He commended officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army for their dedication, courage, and sacrifice in defending the nation.

General Oluyede highlighted the unwavering resolve and patriotism of soldiers confronting security challenges nationwide. He appreciated their selfless devotion and resilience, noting that their sacrifices reflect the values of Eid-el-Kabir. The COAS paid tribute to fallen heroes and extended solidarity to their families during the festive period.

The General Officer Commanding 8 Division, Major General Ibikulke Ajose, highlighted operational successes, including restored safety along the dreaded Funtua-Gusau-Sokoto Road. He noted that the division has continued to safeguard lives and properties across four states, ensuring that more communities previously troubled are now safe for locals to continue their daily activities.

In a message delivered by Major General Adeleke Ayannuga, Commander of the Nigerian Army Cyber Warfare Command, General Oluyede highlighted the unwavering resolve and patriotism of soldiers confronting security challenges nationwide.

He appreciated their selfless devotion and resilience, noting that their sacrifices reflect the values of Eid-el-Kabir.

The COAS paid tribute to fallen heroes, acknowledging their visible and invisible scars, and extended solidarity to their families during the festive period.

General Oluyede reiterated the Nigerian Army’s commitment to preserving national sovereignty and protecting citizens, urging personnel to remain disciplined, united, and focused on their mission.
