The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Lagos State Chapter, has called out Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State, to ‘fish out’ all the attackers of the #ENDSARS protesters in the state.
Hoodlums, suspected to have been hired by the Lagos State Government, violently attacked protesters on a peaceful protest at the Lagos end of the Ibadan expressway on Wednesday.
The hoodlums launched the attack which later turned violent, leaving some of the protesters injured as they run for dear lives and scamper for safety.
Taofik Gani, Lagos PDP Spokesperson, in a statement released on Thursday, urged the Governor to ensure the safety of the protesters and that no such attack should repeat itself again.
The statement by PDP read in part, ‘The governor should come out as a sincere chief security officer of the state to prove that he really guards the security of lives and property in the state.’
According to him, such request is to ensure the security and safety of all peaceful protesters in the state.
The party further implored the Governor to show that he was truly passionate about the welfare, wellbeing and tranquility of the state.
