Ogun State Governor and Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, following the latter’s involvement in a recent car accident.
Governor Abiodun, who disclosed the visit via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, said the visit was to extend the sympathies and well wishes of all southern governors to their northern counterpart.
“We paid a visit to our dear brother, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State, who was recently involved in a car accident along the Daura–Katsina highway,” he wrote.
“On behalf of the Southern Governors’ Forum, we conveyed our heartfelt greetings and best wishes for his speedy and complete recovery.”
Governor Abiodun also expressed gratitude to God for sparing Radda’s life, offering prayers for his continued health and strength as he leads the people of Katsina.
“We thank the Almighty for preserving his life and pray for his continued strength and good health as he continues to serve the good people of Katsina State,” he added.

Journal Nigeria reports that Governor Radda was involved in a minor road accident on Sunday evening while travelling on the Daura-Katsina highway.
Earlier that day, the Katsina governor had visited the residence of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, where he received condolence messages from sympathizers following Buhari’s passing.
