Italian fashion icon Giorgio Armani, renowned worldwide for redefining modern elegance, has died at the age of 91.
Armani, often described as the epitome of Italian style, revolutionised both men’s and women’s tailoring, creating designs that combined sophistication with simplicity. Over the decades, he built an empire that expanded beyond fashion into music, sport, and luxury hospitality.
His company, Giorgio Armani S.p.A., grew into a global powerhouse, generating annual revenues of more than £2 billion. Despite his age, Armani remained deeply involved in the brand, continuing to oversee collections and projects until his final days.
In a statement released on the fashion house’s official Instagram page, the company praised its founder as “indefatigable to the end,” noting his tireless commitment to his work and his vision.
Armani’s legacy as both a designer and businessman leaves an indelible mark on the global fashion industry.
