Senator Ned Nwoko has broken his silence amid a growing storm surrounding his marriage to actress Regina Daniels, accusing her of drug and alcohol abuse and linking the alleged habit to her recent viral outburst.
In a statement and video posted on his verified Instagram handle on Sunday afternoon, Nwoko described his wife’s behaviour as “drug-influenced” and “unprovoked carnage,” claiming it had thrown their home into chaos.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety,” he wrote.
The senator alleged that the actress had attacked household staff and destroyed property, including cars and windows, within the past 48 hours. He also claimed she had moved to a place where she would have “unrestricted access to drugs,” despite his offer to sponsor her rehabilitation either in Asokoro, Abuja, or in Jordan.
Nwoko further accused some of Regina’s close associates of worsening her situation by acting as her drug suppliers. “While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier. Another known supplier of drugs to Regina is the tiny evil devil called Ann,” he alleged.
His remarks came hours after a viral video showed Regina Daniels visibly agitated and shouting during a confrontation. In the footage, the actress could be heard saying, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence; it’s too much.”
The video quickly drew public concern, with fans expressing sympathy for the Nollywood star and urging calm.
Her brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman, popularly known as Sammy West, also reacted angrily on Instagram, accusing Nwoko of domestic abuse and vowing to defend his sister. “Anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood,” he wrote.
As of Sunday afternoon, Regina Daniels had not responded publicly to the allegations, and neither her representatives nor close associates had issued any statement.
Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko, who married in 2019, have long been the subject of media fascination due to their 40-year age gap and the public nature of their relationship. Their union, once celebrated as a blend of glamour and political influence, now appears strained under the weight of accusations, emotional tension, and public scrutiny.
The unfolding drama has reignited debates over celebrity marriages, the pressures of fame, and the mental health toll of living under constant social media exposure.
