In a significant tactical victory, the Nigerian Army Operation Hadin Kai has successfully dismantled a key terrorist logistics network, eliminating four couriers affiliated with Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) in a series of precisely executed ambushes.
According to military intelligence sources who spoke with military analyst Zagazola Makama on Monday, the operations were conducted on October 25, 2025, under the umbrella of the ongoing “Operation Desert Sanity IV/Diligent Search.” This phase of the counter insurgency campaign is specifically designed to target and disrupt the vital supply lines and movement corridors used by terrorist factions within the North-East.
The success was achieved through three separate, well planned ambushes established at known terrorist crossing points in the Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State. The troops demonstrated exceptional coordination and patience in their execution:
The military said at approximately 11:35 a.m., personnel from the 222 Battalion initiated the first engagement. An ambush team, positioned at a crossing point near Kuka Uku and Delta Company Kawuri, intercepted and neutralized one terrorist logistics supplier.
However, In a simultaneous and coordinated move, a second ambush team deployed ahead of Charlie Company’s position in Konduga successfully engaged and eliminated another logistics courier.
The source added, completing the tripartite operation, a third team lying in wait at a crossing point in the Alpha Company sector near Alou Dam neutralized two additional terrorist logistics suppliers.
The source highlight that, the coordinated operations were executed flawlessly, resulting in zero casualties among the Nigerian troops. a testament to the meticulous planning and high level of training involved. The four eliminated individuals were confirmed to be active members of both the Boko Haram faction and ISWAP, highlighting the ongoing collaboration between these terrorist groups in their logistics operations.
Military analysts noted that the interception of these couriers deals a critical blow to the terrorist networks. By targeting logistics suppliers, the military aims to create a crippling shortage of essential items like food, fuel, ammunition, and medical supplies within terrorist enclaves, thereby degrading their operational capacity and morale.
While the security situation in the immediate area is currently reported as calm, military sources described it as “unpredictable.” Troops remain on high alert, maintaining robust combat readiness to respond to any threats. These successful ambushes are part of a broader, sustained strategy of clearance and interdiction operations aimed at systematically dismantling terrorist infrastructure, restricting their freedom of movement, and ultimately restoring lasting security to the Northeast region.
