Ogun Amotekun to Begin Training for Recruits Sunday

The Ogun State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, has said training will commence on Sunday, July 6 for candidates who successfully passed the recent recruitment process.

The Corps Commander, Brig. Gen. (rtd) Alade Adedigba, made the announcement in a statement made available to The Journal Nigeria on Wednesday.

Adedigba stated that the training exercise is scheduled to commence from Sunday, 6th to Friday, 18th July 2025, at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Sagamu, by 8:00 a.m.

According to him, the training initiative is designed to equip newly recruited personnel with the necessary skills and knowledge for operational efficiency and effective discharge of their duties.

The statement reads in part:

“The Ogun State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, announces the commencement of training for candidates who have successfully passed the recent recruitment process, as part of its commitment to strengthening operational capacity and ensuring effective maintenance of law and order within the state.

“Shortlisted candidates, who are expected to report for the training exercise scheduled to commence from Sunday, 6th to Friday, 18th July 2025, at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Sagamu, by 8:00 a.m., are encouraged to adequately prepare for this essential training, arriving on time to facilitate a smooth induction process.

“Candidates are required to bring the following items: one bucket, one broom, one cutlass, two pairs of white round-neck T-shirts, two pairs of white shorts/knickers, two pairs of white tennis sneakers, two pairs of white socks, and two pairs of white bedsheets.

“Writing materials (jotters, pens, pencils, sharpener, erasers), two files containing passport photographs and original & photocopies of credentials, Bank Verification Number (BVN), and National Identification Number (NIN).”

The Commander, while congratulating the recruits, urged all to adhere to the instructions provided and fully cooperate with the camp officials throughout the training period to ensure its success.
