Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Wilfred Olutokunbo Afolabi, has declared war on criminals, particularly kidnappers, terrorizing different parts of the state. Afolabi emphasized the need for a collaborative effort between the police, security agencies, and communities to flush out criminals.

The Commissioner highlighted some of the challenges facing the command, including inadequate patrol vehicles and logistics. He stressed the importance of equipping the command with hi-tech devices, such as drones, trackers, and lawful interception devices, to combat sophisticated crimes.

Afolabi noted that the command has achieved significant successes in the last two months, including the arrest of suspected kidnappers and the rescue of victims. He attributed these successes to the synergy with other security agencies and the People Safety Partnership initiative, which encourages community involvement in intelligence gathering.
