Nollywood filmmaker Toyin Abraham has announced veteran actor Pete Edochie as one of the lead cast members in her forthcoming film, Bestie. hAbraham disclosed the casting on her social media page on Monday as she began revealing the actors appearing in the production.
Edochie will portray a character named Papa Ngozi in the film, which is scheduled to open in cinemas nationwide on December 16. “Pa Pete Edochie as Papa Ngozi in BESTIE! A legend, GOAT, is in the building! BESTIE in cinemas from 16th December!” Abraham wrote.
The announcement has attracted interest from fans anticipating a collaboration between the filmmaker and Edochie, one of Nollywood’s veteran performers. Abraham described the production as having a star-studded cast, although the names of the other actors were not included in the announcement. The December release will add Bestie to the filmmaker’s growing catalogue of cinema productions.
