Ijiola Esther Oluwabukola is a Research Assistant at May University Press Limited, publishers of The Journal, a Pan Nigerian E-Newspaper in Lagos. She had served at Hug for the Needy Foundation, where she joined a team of passionate individuals to provide support and care to the less privileged through shore up programs in the area of education, empowerment, and healthcare.
She is a graduate of Babcock University, Ilishan Remo, Ogun state, where she studied History and International Studies. She is an ambitious and vibrant young lady who has developed an enthusiastic and responsible approach to work and life.
She has great research interests and strives to deliver useful solutions to problems in any organization, she finds herself in. She is also a prolific writer and have some of her articles featured in the Journal.
Her ultimate goal is to become a professor of Public Administration and Governance as well as a key policymaker in Nigeria. She believes that hard work is a key to achieving goals in life. As a result, she is taking major steps in achieving her ambitions.
Apart from her corporate job, she manages a hair business called Hairbyjibu. Her brand meets the numerous hair needs of women by providing quality hair extensions and products.
She also uses her platform to empower teenagers who are yet to gain admission into the university by encouraging them to learn a trade.
She trains them on how to make and revamp wigs, package them and sell them. She started the business in 2019 and has been able to build her customer base across Nigeria.
Oluwabukola was born into the family of Mr and Mrs Ijiola. She is the fourth child of five children.
She is grateful to her parent for being the source of her inspiration and being her support financially. She loves sport, especially volleyball. Whenever she’s not working, she loves to spend time with her loved ones as well as watch movies. Her major life motivation is pleasing God and helping those in need.
