The Former Governor of Gombe state Danjuma Goje had tendered a petition to APC reconciliation committee over the party’s Congress. Sequel to this, the reconciliation committee met with Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe state and other bigwigs in the state.
The committee had a close door meeting with the Governor and stakeholders which lasted all through the night.
While addressing news men in a conference, in the early hours of Friday, the chairman of the committee Mr Adams Mala stated that only one petition was received from the state and they are in the verge of addressing it.
Mr Adams further reiterated the mandate of the committee which isto reconcile any perceived misunderstanding, grudges, or conflict, adding that unity remains paramount to the party.
The Chairman also stressed that is not going to compromise in its bid to be just and fair while addressing its issues as such every member was given a fair hearing in the interest of the party’s unity.
Even while the aggrieved party Hon Danjuma Goje could not attend the meeting, He has been approached by the committee and Goje gave his reasons for not attending the meeting.
In the same vane, the Chairman further said the committee will grant Hon. Goje the opportunity to address the committee in line with the spirit of fair hearing since audience has been given to the governor and other stalwarts of the party in the state. Through this he believe they would be able to proffer a way out.
Mr Adams “expressed confidence that APC in Gombe was “strong and alive,” stressing that any grievances in the party would not be left unattended and resolved quickly.”
In his contribution, Mr Yahaya believed that the party would continue to grow stronger because “we are united, one big family that is focused on delivering on all demands of our party followers.”
