Big Brother Naija Season 11 witnessed another dramatic eviction night as Abi and Araga were sent packing from the Show Ya Sef house, leaving 14 housemates in the race for the grand prize. Big Brother Naija Season 11 took another turn on Sunday night as Abisola “Abi” Ayoola and Oluwaseyifunmi “Araga” Sosanya became the latest housemates to leave the reality show.
Their eviction came during the seventh live show of the “Show Ya Sef” edition, making them the eighth and ninth housemates to exit the competition. With their departure, 14 housemates remain in the race. The eviction was, however, only one of the major talking points from the live show, as host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu put several housemates on the spot over developments inside the house.
Tram faces questions over controversial reign
Head of House Tram was questioned about his leadership following a turbulent week in the house. Ebuka confronted him over his reaction to housemates who had refused to support his Wager presentation, particularly given Tram’s approach to previous Head of House reigns.
Tram defended his position, explaining that he had allowed the housemates to decide what they wanted to contribute to the presentation rather than forcing anyone to take on tasks they could not handle. The house eventually lost the Wager, although Ebuka noted that the house had remained relatively neat during Tram’s reign.
Aikou wins Most Influential Player of the Week
Another highlight of the night was Aikou emerging as the week’s Most Influential Person of the Week (MIPOW). His recognition came with BB Bucks and the BetPawa Elite Award. He also spun the BetPawa Wheel and won a microwave oven.
Ricky, Bells face the spotlight
Ebuka also questioned Ricky over his apparent desire to stir up tension in the house. According to the host, Ricky appeared unhappy with the relative peace among the housemates and had encouraged others to create chaos during Tram’s reign.
Ricky acknowledged speaking individually with housemates about Tram’s leadership and said he believed they needed to cause some disruption because of what he felt Tram had done during previous reigns. He was also questioned about conversations concerning Bells, particularly comments surrounding her spirituality. Bells subsequently found herself in the hot seat, with Ebuka confronting her over comments she had made about Flora and Oyin during the week. The conversation became emotional as Bells described the two housemates as bullies and alleged that some of the incidents involving her were not accidental.
Abi opens up after eviction
Following her eviction, Abi admitted that life in the Big Brother house had been overwhelming. When asked whether she was surprised to hear her name called, she said she had already had a feeling that she might be leaving, although the announcement was still surprising.
Asked about her plans after the show, Abi gave a straightforward response: “I just want to make money.”
Araga speaks on Goddessa
For Araga, his eviction also brought questions about his relationship with fellow housemate Goddessa. Speaking about his time in the house, he acknowledged that his first week had been difficult because he struggled to find his place. He credited Goddessa with helping him through that period.
Asked whether he had romantic feelings for her, Araga admitted that he liked her, describing her as beautiful and saying he admired her intelligence. With his exit, however, viewers will now have to watch from outside the house to see whether the relationship develops further. Araga said his post-show focus would be on taking his brand to the next level.
