In a decisive aerial assault, Nigerian Air Force (NAF) jets operating under Operation Hadin Kai have destroyed an improvised explosive device (IED) manufacturing facility and multiple armed vehicles belonging to terrorists in Kwaltiri, located within Borno’s Tumbuktu Triangle region.

NAF spokesperson Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame confirmed the successful mission in a Thursday statement from Abuja, revealing that Wednesday’s precision airstrikes followed credible intelligence about militant activities in the area.

“Surveillance missions positively identified the bomb-making facility and armed trucks, which were subsequently neutralized in targeted strikes by our aircraft,” Ejodame stated. He emphasized that the operation demonstrates the Air Force’s unwavering commitment to systematically dismantling terrorist infrastructure and restoring stability to the Northeast.”

The attack reportedly resulted in the elimination of dozens of insurgents, dealing a significant blow to terrorist operations in the restive region. Military sources indicate the destroyed facility was being used to produce explosives for attacks against civilian and military targets.
