Ryan Giggs, former midfielder, and current Wales manager had been arrested for assault on his girlfriend. The police unit, Greater Machester Police, which made the arrest, said it was called to reports of a disturbance at an address in Worsley, Salford on Sunday just after 10 PM.
Greater Manchester Police stated that it arrested the 46-year-old on suspicion of section 47 assault and section 39 common assault. The security unit also cited bail condition pending further notice. It also claimed that a woman ( Ryan Giggs girlfriend) in her thirties sustained minor injuries but did not require any serious treatment.
The ex-Man United player, who joined Wales in 2018, however, denied the allegations. Ryan Giggs was supposed to announce his squad for upcoming international games at a press conference slated for today. The conference has now been cancelled following his arrest. The Football Association of
Wales said it cancelled the conference given that ‘it was aware of an alleged incident involving the men’s team manager, Ryan Giggs.’

A statement further revealed that the Wales manager is cooperating with authorities and will continue to assist them with their ongoing investigation to ascertain the truism in the claims.
