About 71 teachers of the Community Staff Schools in Asokoro, Abuja were reinstated, the schools are owned by the State Security Service (SSS)
The staff, comprising of headmaster and principal down to the laboratory attendants were issued letters of disengagement on November 2, 2020, by the school management, following their outcry in the request for better working conditions.
In respect to this, the management also sent a memo to inform parents of their decision to close down the school for two weeks so as to reorganise the school.’

Following the reinstatement of sacked staff, who have been asked to resume on Thursday, some of the SSS staff stressed the need for a written agreement of their reinstatement from the management.
One of the teachers (name withheld) stated that he would be pleased if both parties can leverage on this ‘opportunity to negotiate our salaries with them rather than just resuming to work on mere promises.’
