Galatasaray Set €150m Price Tag on Osimhen

Victor Osimhen’s transfer future has moved into sharper focus after Galatasaray placed a €150m valuation on the Nigerian striker, even as interest from some of Europe’s most powerful clubs intensifies around the 26 year old forward.

Spanish outlet Diario AS reports that the Istanbul club view Osimhen as central to their long term sporting project, with the steep asking price reflecting both his value to the squad and their determination to retain him despite mounting external pressure.

“Galatasaray have set a €150m asking price for Victor Osimhen as speculation continues over his future, with the Nigerian striker reaffirming his strong attachment to the Turkish club,” AS reported.

The clubs said to be monitoring Osimhen’s situation closely include Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Arsenal, Liverpool and Juventus, making him arguably one of the most tracked strikers on the continent heading into the summer transfer window.

FIFA licensed agent Mithat Halis, quoted by AS, offered a detailed assessment of why Osimhen would be particularly suited to Real Madrid’s attacking setup.

“Osimhen is a complete striker. He does not fit the classic number nine role, nor is he only a penalty box striker. He is an all round player; he can play with his back to goal, he can deal with tight defences, and he can also operate as a second striker,” Halis said.

“He also contributes defensively. All these qualities point to the type of player Real Madrid need. The club have not had a centre forward since Karim Benzema. They are forced to use Mbappé and Vinicius as forwards.”

“If they sign Osimhen, both will play in their natural positions as wingers and be more effective. He would be a very functional signing for Real Madrid. They should sign him.”

Amid the speculation, Osimhen has remained publicly committed to Galatasaray, describing the club in warm personal terms and showing no public desire to force a move.

“Galatasaray is a real home for me. Here I have found a family, and my family also feels very comfortable. This club represents family, love, unity and respect. I thank God for bringing me together with Galatasaray,” Osimhen said, per AS.

The striker reserved particular praise for the club’s supporters, describing his experience in Istanbul as unlike anything in his professional career.

“Everything here is on another level. Galatasaray fans show you their affection both at away matches and in your private life. They are the best supporters I have seen in my entire career,” he added.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli last season before the arrangement was made permanent, and his performances in the Turkish Super Lig have kept him firmly in the conversation among Europe’s elite strikers.
