No Party Or Person Can Defeat Tinubu In 2027, Atiku’s Son Declares As He Joins APC
Abba Atiku, son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring that President Bola Tinubu is unbeatable in the 2027 presidential election.
Abba made the declaration on Monday in Yola after collecting his APC membership registration card at Gwadabawa Ward in Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
He said his decision to defect was driven by what he described as the Tinubu administration’s strong economic direction and far-reaching human development reforms.
“I want to make it very clear that nobody or any political party can stop President Bola Tinubu from returning to Aso Rock come 2027,” Abba said. “Nigerians have seen his good work. He is not a tribalist. He does not make appointments based on religion or region, but purely on merit.”
According to him, President Tinubu’s leadership has delivered massive infrastructural and human capital development across the country, necessitating broad-based political support beyond party lines.
“The president needs your support to continue with the good work. We should mobilise more people, irrespective of party affiliation, to support our president,” he added.

Handing over the APC membership card, the party’s Zonal Vice Chairman for Adamawa Central, Alhaji Isa Bagalti, said Abba’s defection had effectively put to rest speculation about the ruling party’s chances in 2027.
“It is now clear that there is no party in Nigeria or presidential candidate that can face our president at the polls in 2027,” Bagalti said.
Also speaking, APC chieftain Alhaji Jamil Yusuf described President Tinubu as having no credible rival ahead of the next election cycle, dismissing other aspirants as “wishful thinkers.”
“Politics is not a trade fair where people buy and sell power,” Yusuf said. “The office of the president is no longer for the highest bidder, but for competent people like President Bola Tinubu.”
Abba’s move comes amid notable political contrasts within the Atiku family. His brother, Adamu Atiku, remains a senior member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and currently serves as Commissioner for Works and Energy Development under Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.
Meanwhile, Atiku Abubakar is pursuing his 2027 presidential ambition on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), without any of his sons currently aligned with the party.
