Six Chelsea Players Shortlisted for 2026 London Football Awards
Six Chelsea players have been shortlisted for honours at the 2026 London Football Awards, underlining the club’s continued influence in English football across both the men’s and women’s games.
According to information released on the club’s official website, Moises Caicedo, Estevao Willian, Millie Bright, Wieke Kaptein, Alyssa Thompson and Keira Walsh are all in contention for awards at the ceremony, scheduled for March 5 at Exhibition White City, London.
In the men’s category, Caicedo has been nominated for Premier League Player of the Year, where he could succeed last season’s winner, Cole Palmer. The Ecuadorian midfielder has been central to Chelsea’s campaign, combining defensive solidity with attacking output. His three league goals this season already represent his highest tally in a single Premier League campaign.
Estevao Willian, meanwhile, is shortlisted for Men’s Young Player of the Year following an impressive debut season. The Brazilian forward has scored six goals in all competitions, including high-profile strikes against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League and Liverpool in the Premier League.
Chelsea’s strong presence extends to the women’s categories. Keira Walsh has been nominated for Women’s Super League Player of the Year after playing a key role in Chelsea’s long unbeaten run and scoring a decisive goal against Tottenham Hotspur. Alyssa Thompson and Wieke Kaptein are both shortlisted for Women’s Young Player of the Year, with Thompson emerging as Chelsea’s top scorer in the WSL this season.
Club captain Millie Bright is also nominated for the Women’s PFA Player in the Community Champion award, recognising her off-pitch contributions.
Winners will be announced at the 2026 London Football Awards on March 5.
