PRESS RELEASE: HerStory International to Host June Community Dialogue on Identity, Growth, and the Journey of Becoming
Lagos, Nigeria – 7 June 2026
HerStory International will host its June Community Dialogue on Sunday, 7 June 2026, bringing together women from diverse backgrounds to explore the theme, “Becoming Her: The Evolution of Identity Over Time.” The virtual session will take place on Zoom at 4:00 pm (WAT) and is open to women interested in examining the experiences, transitions, and defining moments that shape identity throughout life.
The dialogue will provide a platform for participants to reflect on the evolving nature of identity and the ways personal experiences influence who we become. Through storytelling and thoughtful conversation, attendees will engage with themes of growth, self-discovery, reinvention, and the expectations that often accompany different stages of life.
Discussions will focus on personal transformation, the realities of redefining oneself through changing seasons of life, and the relationship between individual identity and societal expectations. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage directly with speakers during an interactive question-and-answer session.
“Identity is not static; it evolves through experience, challenge, achievement, and reflection,” said Moyosore Olaofe, Managing Editor of HerStory International. “This dialogue is designed to create a welcoming space where women can examine their journeys, share their stories, and gain insight from the experiences of others.”
