Her tribute came days after the family held Ogogo’s eight-day Fidau prayer in Ilaro, Ogun State, following his death after a brief battle with cancer. Kira accompanied the message with a video showing a light-hearted exchange between her and her father at a party. In the clip, she repeatedly asked him to kiss her on the cheek, capturing what appeared to be an ordinary family moment that has since acquired greater emotional significance.
Writing about the difficulty of accepting his death, she described her father as “the best” and said she was struggling with the knowledge that she could no longer receive his hugs.
“My daddy. The best, I can’t even get a hug anymore,” she wrote.
Kira also acknowledged the anger that has accompanied her grief, saying there were moments when she resented her father for leaving. She described his death as the clearest experience of heartbreak she had ever endured. The actor’s daughter said she loved him but wished they had been given more time together, particularly because she wanted him to meet her second baby. “I love you, daddy, but I just wanted more time, more time, more timeeee to meet my second baby,” she wrote.
