Manchester United Named Among Two Premier League Clubs Eyeing Osimhen
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is happy at Galatasaray and wants to remain with the Turkish Super Lig champions beyond the current season, according to club reporter Kutlu Akpınar, who also revealed that two Premier League clubs including Manchester United – are monitoring the forward’s situation.
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray from Napoli, scored 22 goals and provided eight assists in 33 appearances across all competitions during the 2025-26 season, helping the Yellow-Reds retain the Super Lig title. His performances have attracted interest from several top European clubs, including teams in the English Premier League.
Speaking on his YouTube channel via Habersarikirmizi, Akpınar addressed speculation surrounding the Nigerian international’s future. “Osimhen is happy at Galatasaray and wants to stay,” he said. “I don’t expect him to leave. A team will be built around him.”
However, Akpınar also confirmed that Premier League interest is genuine. “Two Premier League clubs are interested. One of them is Manchester United,” he concluded.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray on a transfer from Italian side Napoli, where he had established himself as one of Europe’s most prolific strikers. The 27-year-old has been the subject of transfer speculation for several windows, with Premier League clubs previously linked to his signature during his time in Serie A.
Manchester United’s reported interest comes as the Premier League club evaluates attacking options ahead of the summer transfer window. The Red Devils have not publicly commented on any potential move for the Nigerian striker.
Galatasaray secured back-to-back Super Lig titles in 2025 and 2026, with Osimhen playing a central role in the latter campaign. His 22 goals represented a significant contribution to the team’s offensive output.
The striker’s current contractual situation with Galatasaray was not detailed in Akpınar’s remarks. As the summer transfer window approaches, Osimhen is expected to resolve his future, with the player reportedly keen to continue his journey at Rams Park.
Neither Galatasaray nor Manchester United had issued official statements regarding the transfer speculation as of press time. Osimhen has not publicly commented on the reports linking him with a move away from the Turkish champions.
